The sites are produced centrally by one small, technology-led team rather than by a separate newsroom based in each city, so the publisher is not necessarily a local resident of Los Angeles. The publisher sets editorial policy, maintains the content safeguards and is accountable, at the masthead level, for everything published about Los Angeles, United States.
